If you are moving or thinking of moving it is important that you notify Service Canada to ensure that your OAS and CPP benefit payments continue to arrive on time.
Online Services
If you have a Personal Access Code, you can use our online service View and Update Personal Information.
Please note: You cannot change information online if you have an address or payment destination outside Canada or are receiving
OAS or
CPP benefits in part under an
International Agreement between Canada and another country. Currently, this online service only allows you to view your information. It is not yet possible to change the information for foreign addresses, payment destinations or telephone numbers. Please
contact us if you wish to make changes to your information. We are constantly working to improve our services and expect that in the future you will be able to change your personal information online. We regret any inconvenience.
Contact Us
You can also contact us to update your address or direct deposit information. If you live outside Canada you must notify us in writing of any changes to your foreign direct deposit information. Please see instructions on how to update changes to your foreign direct deposit information.
If you send your request by mail, please ensure the following information is included in your letter:
- full name
- date of birth
- social insurance number
- previous address, and
- new address
Address changes are usually effective the month after we receive your request.
