How do I apply for Children's Benefits?
To apply for Children's Benefits, you must:
- complete either the Canada Pension Plan Survivor's Pension and Child(ren)'s Benefit(s), Application Kit or, if you are a student between the ages of 18 and 25, the application for Canada Pension Plan Child's Benefit and the Declaration of Attendance at School or University
- provide proof of your date of birth (your birth certificate or a certified true copy of it, unless we already have a copy on file)
- sign the form(s) and return it to us
