PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND
2006 WAGE SURVEY

The 2006 Wages and Salaries survey was conducted by the Economic and Information Services branch of Service Canada, Prince Edward Island Region.

The objective of the 2006 Wage survey was to produce up-to-date statistical information on hourly wage rates for selected occupational groups in Prince Edward Island, based on the 2001 National Occupational Classification (NOC) structure.

Wage rates for more than 100 occupational groups are presented at the provincial level for the following categories:

  • Starting
  • Starting with experience
  • General Wage

More detailed wage information is available upon request. For some occupations we are able to provide wages for full-time and part-time employment, wages by union status, and/or wages by industry group.

For information on minimum wage rates, view the Database of Minimum Wages.

The information in this report is organized by the National Occupational Classification (NOC) structure. NOC is a four digit code that is used to classify occupations by type of work and educational/training requirements. There are a number of commonly used job titles included in each occupational grouping.
