Mandate

The Office for Client Satisfaction (OCS) is a neutral organization mandated to accept and respond to citizen feedback about Service Canada, and recommend ways the organization can improve. It supports Service Canada's commitment to improving service delivery, and the Government of Canada's key priority of becoming more accountable.

Principles

The OCS is guided by three main principles:

  • Promptness

    • Many individuals who approach this office provide feedback resulting from delays due to Service Canada's departmental processes. This office must be prompt and efficient to gain and retain the confidence of Canadians.

  • Thorough and Impartial Review

    • We review every detail of each case thoroughly and impartially to get a full understanding of the issue at hand.

  • Personalized Attention

    • We give each case the personal attention it deserves, always treating the individual involved as more than a transaction.
