11.0 Monitoring and Assessment

Section 3 of the Act requires the Commission to monitor and assess the effectiveness of assistance provided under the Act, including assistance provided under the arrangements put in place in the context of this Agreement, and to submit a report on its assessment to the Minister of Human Resources Development annually from 1997 to 2001. The first report is due no later than December 31, 1997 and it must subsequently be laid before Parliament.  Newfoundland and Labrador recognizes that Canada may need to use the information provided to Canada by it under the information sharing arrangements referred to in section 10 for the purposes of preparing this report.
