Small Business Internship Program
The Small Business Internship Program enables small and medium-sized businesses to obtain funding to hire post-secondary students for 12-week internships in a field related to information and communication technology.

Eligibility Information
Businesses that wish to apply for funding must meet the following criteria:
- be an established small or medium-sized business having fewer than 500 employees
- be incorporated
- wish to enhance their e-business capability
- other criteria may apply
Organizations that wish to be added to the delivery organization list must meet one of the following criteria:
- be a post-secondary institution
- be incorporated as a non-profit corporation in Canada
- other criteria may apply
Application Information
- Businesses must submit an application for funding to the Program delivery organization in their area.
- Organizations that wish to be added to the delivery organization list can obtain the application forms and guidelines on-line or through the Program.
Dates and Deadlines
The deadline for the 2009-2010 applications has passed. If your organization is eligible, you are encouraged to apply for the SBIP in the next fiscal year 2010-2011. Should additional money be made available this year applications will be requested via our Web site.
