Financial Advice

The Financial Advice program allows veterans (or their families) to seek out the advice of a financial expert to help manage the lump sum payment they have received from a Disability Award, a Detention Benefit or from a Death Benefit. It is provided when the lump-sum benefit is equal to or greater than 5% of the maximum Disability Award.  Through this program, some or all of the costs related to getting financial advice may be paid by Veterans Affairs Canada, up to a maximum of $500.
