Congratulatory Messages
The Congratulatory Messages program sends congratulatory messages on behalf of the prime minister for wedding anniversaries, birthdays and other special occasions.

Eligibility Information
Congratulatory letters are available for:
- 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th and 45th wedding anniversaries
- 65th and 70th birthdays
- other criteria may apply
Congratulatory certificates are available for:
- 50th wedding anniversaries and beyond
- 75th birthdays and beyond
- other criteria may apply
Special messages are available for:
- events and anniversaries other than those outlined above
- other criteria may apply
Application Information
Applications that are mailed or faxed must contain the following information:
- the recipient's name or the name of the event
- the date of the wedding anniversary, birthday or event
- the date of the celebration
- the preferred language (English or French)
- the address to which the message should be sent
- the telephone number of the person making the request
Dates and Deadlines
- Requests should be submitted at least three weeks before the event.
