What can I do if I don't have any identity documents?
Not providing the required identity documents will delay the processing of your Common Experience Payment application. For this reason, enclosing your identity documents is preferred.
- To obtain a birth certificate, please contact the appropriate government office in the province or territory where you were born.
- To obtain a driver's licence or a health card, please contact the appropriate government office in the province or territory where you reside.
- To obtain a Canadian passport, call the Passport Canada toll-free line at 1‑800‑567‑6868.
- Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada toll-free line at 1‑800‑567‑9604.
