Important notice about Maximum Insurable Earnings - Effective for all EI claims established December 30th and after, the maximum insurable earnings will increase from $40,000 to $41,100. To know more…
Important Notice for your direct deposit: Due to statutory holidays observed by Federal Government departments and financial institutions, please take note of the following direct deposit dates.
- For reports processed Friday, December 21st through to Sunday, December 23rd, payments will be deposited on Tuesday, December 25th.
- For reports processed Monday, December 24th, through to Wednesday December 26th, payments will be deposited on Friday, December 28th.
- For reports processed Thursday, December 27th payments will be deposited on Monday, December 31st.
- For reports processed Friday, December 28th to Sunday, December 30th, payments will be deposited on Wednesday, January 2nd.
- For reports processed Monday, December 31st to Tuesday, January 1st, payments will be deposited on Thursday, January 3rd.
If you receive your payment by mail, postal delays may occur.
Important notice - Early reporting during the holiday season! If after reporting early for your reporting period ending December 15th or December 22nd, 2007, you worked, received other moneys, were not available for work or became sick during the remainder of the period normally covered by your report, you must advise us of the new information. If this is the case, please call 1 800 206-7218 during business hours and press 0 for assistance or use this form to indicate the corrections to your report.
- Extended Employment Insurance Benefits Pilot Project - The duration of the Extended Employment Insurance Benefits Pilot Project has changed. The Pilot Project will continue until June 6, 2009.
NOVEMBER 2007
Quebec Residents – Early Filing! The Internet Reporting Service and the Telephone Reporting Service will be unavailable for the Quebec Region the weekend of November 30th to December 2nd. Quebec Residents with a report due Saturday, December 1st may file their report on Wednesday, November 28th after 8:00 a.m.
Atlantic Residents – Early Filing! The Internet Reporting Service and the Telephone Reporting Service will be unavailable for the Atlantic Region the weekend of November 16th to November 18th. Atlantic Residents with a report due on Saturday November 17th may file their report on Wednesday, November 14th after 8:00 a.m.
Ontario Residents – Early Filing! The Internet Reporting Service and the Telephone Reporting Service will be unavailable for the Ontario Region the weekend of November 9th to November 11th. Ontario residents with a report due on Saturday, November 10th may file their report on Wednesday, November 7th after 8:00 a.m.
Did you file your report early? Recently, we had a systems upgrade which affected the availability of our electronic reporting services. In order to avoid delays during the normal weekend reporting periods, affected clients were given the opportunity to complete their report early. If you are one of these clients, you must advise us if, after reporting early, you worked, received other monies, were not available for work, or became sick during the remainder of the period normally covered by your report. If this is the case, once the reporting period has ended, please call 1 800 206-7218 during business hours, and press 0 to speak with an agent.

JUNE 2007
Important notice: Due to the statutory holiday on Monday, July 2nd, payments for reports processed from Friday, June 29th to Monday, July 2nd will be deposited on Wednesday, July 4th.
- Important notice for Quebec residents only: Due to the statutory holiday on Monday, June 25th, payments for reports processed from Friday, June 22nd to Monday, June 25th will be deposited on Wednesday, June 27th.
APRIL 2007
- Important notice: Direct deposit payment delays due to statutory holidays on Friday, April 6th and Monday, April 9th. Payments processed the evening of Wednesday, April 4th will be deposited on Tuesday, April 10th. Payments processed from Thursday, April 5th to Monday, April 9th will be deposited on Wednesday, April 11th.

- Important notice: All T4Es for taxation year 2006 have been issued. If you did not receive your T4E please call our telephone information service at 1 800 206-7218 from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or go to your Service Canada Centre and we will issue a duplicate T4E. However, you can now view and print your T4E slip using our Tax Information Slips online service.
FEBRUARY 2007
