Employment programs and services under contract to Service Canada are available in your local area. Please keep in mind that while most programs are open to all unemployed Canadians, others are restricted to people currently receiving Employment Insurance, or who have received it in the past. You can find out whether or not you are eligible by contacting the service provider directly.

Assisted Services - Employment Resource Centres and Specialized Service Providers
Enhanced services in the community can be accessed by unemployed Canadians through two Employment Resource Centres or through specialized service providers for Immigrants, Youth, and Persons with Disabilities. These Resource Centres and specialized service providers are the first step in accessing further services. They provide assistance in assessing employment related needs, program eligibility, and referral to appropriate services in the community.

Training and Learning
If you are unable to find work and require retraining, you may be eligible to receive funds for training. If you are interested in training please contact one of the Employment Resource Centres or Specialized Service Providers listed above. If you have formal training but are unable to find a job because you lack work experience, you may be eligible for a targeted wage subsidy.
