The Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) Program provides free basic French and English language courses to adult permanent residents.
Newcomers to Canada can also receive:
- Skills Development
The Skills Development program provides a negotiated amount of financial support for skills training to Employment Insurance eligible individuals. - Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP)
The Lifelong Learning Plan (LLP) allows individuals to withdraw funds from their registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs) to finance training or education for themselves or their spouse or common-law partner. - Canadian Agricultural Skills Service
The Canadian Agricultural Skills Service (CASS) aims to help farm families improve their business and increase their income or seek other employment opportunities through training and skills development.
